Guess what the folks did yesterday? They went out and bought bicycles! Shocking to say the least. My mom hasn’t been on a bike since she was a teenager. Now it’s true that our dad rode bikes in college and even in the snow in Rochester but he hadn’t been on one either in a very long time. Well, they got thinking a few days ago that walking around the resorts was a bit boring and that riding would be more fun. So in the last few days they went to some bicycle stores around Austin and looked at bikes and talked to bike people. Mom thought nowhere in the world would be a better place to buy a bike than the home of Lance Armstrong - the best bike rider in the world. They settled on Electra Townie 8 Speed bikes and they are quite pretty cause they sparkle in the sunlight. Mom’s is a light limey green color and Dad’s is deep navy blue. They got helmets, too, so they’d be safe on their rides.

Now we'll have more time to rest undisturbed while they ride in circles around the resorts. Yea!
